Ballad of the Person I Was Yesterday

from John B. & Me by Rick Cormier

/

about

This is the only song that ever took me a year to finish. I needed a line for the 3rd verse that basically summed up my life.

While waiting for that one line to come, I wrote many songs and even started writing comedy songs just to help me change gears, creatively.

Finally, the line came to me. "Times change and people change.. AND TRAINS DON'T ALWAYS RUN ON TIME..."
